A rare chance has arisen to join our VPS team, in a pivotal patient and clinical support role, as we expand our practice.

Valley Plastic Surgery is looking for a motivated and experienced clinic nurse who will emulate our commitment to providing exceptional service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high level of personalised patient care. You will work closely with a team of experienced Specialist Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologist and nurses at our Fortitude Valley practice.

About the role

You'll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey while delivering exceptional patient centred care. Working closely with our Specialist Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists and experienced nursing team, your responsibilities will include:

Providing safe, patient-centred nursing care.

Delivering pre and post-operative patient education and support.

Assisting specialists with minor procedures.

Assessing and managing wounds collaboratively and independently.





Coordinating patient care and working collaboratively with the broader healthcare team.

Medical photography and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Working within contemporary qualified nursing standards.

Identifying opportunities to improve clinical processes and the patient experience.

We're looking for someone who:

Is an experienced Registered Nurse with sound clinical judgement.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Is compassionate, professional and genuinely patient focused.

Takes pride in their work and has a strong work ethic.

Enjoys working collaboratively and contributes positively to the team around them.

Uses initiative and approaches problems with confidence and common sense.

Has an interest in developing leadership skills or mentoring others over time (desirable, but not essential).

Qualifications and Preferences:

- Previous experience in plastic surgery or dermatology is preferable.
- This position does not involve non-surgical duties such as nurse injecting.

The successful candidate will:

- Demonstrate great communication skills and work well in a team workplace
- Thrive in a fast-paced clinic
- Possess excellent problem solving, multi-taskingand time management skills
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Have experience in a similar role or out patient setting

This is a full-time position on a 12 month maternity leave contract with the option to extend.
