Synergie Australia is partnering with a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer to appoint an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead laboratory operations, drive compliance, and support the development of a high-performing Quality Control function within a regulated TGA GMP environment.

- Pay: Competitive salary package $90,000 - $100,000 + Super
- Type: Permanent full-time opportunity / Temp to Perm Prospect
- Hours: Monday to Friday, standard business hours

- Environment: TGA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
What you will be required to do:
As the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for leading laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with TGA GMP requirements and driving continuous improvement across analytical and microbiological testing activities. You will play a key role in developing laboratory capability, managing investigations, supporting regulatory inspections and building a strong quality culture.
- Lead day-to-day Quality Control laboratory operations and testing activities.
- Manage testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, finished products and stability samples.
- Review and approve laboratory data, analytical results and quality documentation.
- Support the continued development and qualification of laboratory facilities, systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with TGA GMP,
ICH guidelines and data integrity requirements.
- Oversee OOS, OOT, deviations, CAPA investigations and change control activities.
- Develop, verify, validate and transfer analytical test methods.
- Manage laboratory equipment qualification, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Develop, implement and maintain QC SOPs and laboratory procedures.
- Support internal audits, supplier audits and regulatory inspections.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Production and Regulatory Affairs teams to achieve quality and operational objectives.
- Recruit, train, mentor and develop laboratory personnel.
- Foster a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold qualifications in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
- Have demonstrated experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, therapeutic goods or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of TGA GMP, PIC/S GMP and laboratory compliance requirements.
- Have hands-on experience managing Quality Control laboratory operations.
- Demonstrate experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR and related laboratory instrumentation.
- Have experience in analytical method validation, verification and method transfer activities.Possess strong working knowledge of OOS, OOT, CAPA, deviation and change control processes.
- Demonstrate experience supporting audits, inspections and regulatory compliance activities.
- Have strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Exposure to microbiology, sterility testing, environmental monitoring or contamination control programs will be highly regarded.
- Have excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
