About The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the overall operations, which includes manufacturing processes, staff, resources and facility management.
Coordinate workflow between each department to ensure quality products are produced, meet customer requirements and dispatch on time.
Develop and implement new operations strategies for creating and improving processes and procedures to improve manufacturing performance.
Manage material planning, forecasting, production scheduling and cost control.
Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements for project execution.
Utilise exceptional leadership qualities to mentor and motivate staff.
Oversee the selection and procurement of raw materials for projects.
Manage the QA processes within the company.
Manage contracts and/or monitor the provision of services to ensure standards and requirements are maintained and in line with arrangements.
Ensure orders from customers are scheduled in the most efficient and economical manner.
Monitor and control work in progress.
Manage repairs and maintenance of facility and equipment.
Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement programs.
Key requirements
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
10+ years’ experience in a similar role with proven leadership abilities.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
Experience in the manufacturing and/or electronics industry.
A high level of time management and resource planning skills.
Experience to assist with budget setting, monitoring and accountability for Operations Department.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with bespoke made-to-order manufacturing processes, ERP systems and scheduling optimisation.
