Disability Support Worker (Complex Autism & Behaviour Support) – SIL | Glenmore Park

Top Disability Care Australia is seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team supporting a young man with Autism Level 3, intellectual disability, epilepsy and complex behavioural support needs.

This is an incredibly rewarding role where consistency, relationship building and a calm approach are the keys to success. We are looking for someone who sees the person first and believes in supporting people to live meaningful, independent lives.

About the Role

This is not your average support worker position. You will work 1:1 supporting a participant to develop independence, participate in the community, build daily living skills and implement proactive behaviour support strategies within a structured setting.

You will be supporting with:

- Community access including swimming, gym, parks and outings
- Daily living skills and personal care
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Medication support
- Emotional regulation and sensory support
- Documentation and behaviour data collection
- Building independence and confidence

About You

- Physically active and enjoys community participation
- Comfortable following structured routines
- Passionate about person-centred support

You have experience supporting people with:

- Behaviours of Concern
- Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Community Access
- Supported Independent Living (preferred)
- Experience supporting participants with epilepsy is highly regarded, however training will be provided.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NSW Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Medication competency (or willingness to complete)
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends
