About the Role

As a Market Operations Manager, you'll be trusted to run your market like it's your own.

Market day is where you'll make the biggest impact.

You'll lead your team, support stallholders, solve problems, keep operations running smoothly and create an exceptional experience for everyone who visits.

During the week, you'll spend time planning upcoming markets, communicating with stallholders, completing administration and working with the wider Goodwill Projects team to ensure everything is ready for the following weekend.

You'll also support seasonal twilight events and work alongside our leadership team on initiatives that continue improving our markets.

What You'll Do

Lead the day-to-day operation of one or more markets.

Build strong relationships with stallholders, customers, councils and key stakeholders.

Lead and support your onsite team to deliver exceptional market experiences.

Coordinate stallholder applications, weekly allocations and market layouts.

Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues with confidence and professionalism.

Support seasonal events and special activations throughout the year.

Complete weekly planning, reporting, communication and administration that keeps your market running smoothly.

Please note: Market days require early starts (from approximately 3:00am) and you'll be on site for up to 12 hours.

About You

You're someone who naturally takes ownership. You don't wait to be told what needs doing, you enjoy solving problems, and you lead by example. You stay calm when things get busy, communicate confidently and genuinely enjoy bringing people together

You stay calm under pressure, make good decisions, communicate well and genuinely enjoy working with people.

You're organised without being rigid, practical without overthinking, and you're the sort of person who naturally steps in when something needs doing.

You enjoy being outdoors, don't mind getting your hands dirty and understand that great leadership often means leading by example.

Whether your experience comes from hospitality, retail, venue management, events, tourism, customer service or even running your own business, we'd love to hear from you.

Age is no barrier. Some of our best Market Managers have come from many different industries and stages of life. If you have strong leadership skills, common sense, a willingness to learn and genuinely care about people, we encourage you to apply.

Skills & Experience

At least two years' leadership or management experience.

Hospitality, retail, events, venue operations or customer-facing management experience highly regarded.

Strong customer service and people management skills.

Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Comfortable using computers, databases and reporting systems.

What We Offer

$90,000 - $100,000 + Superannuation + KPI.
