Team Industrial Services (Furmanite Australia) was established in Australia in 1969 and is a global leader in onsite repair and maintenance in industries such as Oil and Gas, Refining, Mining, Power Generation and Defense offering repair and maintenance services such as On-Site Machining, Pipeline Intervention (Hot Tapping / Line Stopping), Valve Repair and Testing, Controlled Bolting, Heat Treatment and other Engineering solutions.

Role Overview

Reporting to the base Supervisor, the Mechanical Service Technician will be based at Teams Brisbane Service Delivery Centre. The position will require travelling to our clients’ sites on a regular basis to fulfil the needs of our wide-ranging clients.

The successful applicant will be working closely within a team environment, with a strong focus on Safety and Quality. The role demands excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills along with excellent communication abilities.

- To work unsupervised in both workshop and on-site environments
- To comply with company policies and procedures
- To promote and market Teams’ services, products and business solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with AS/NZS ISO 9001
- To assist fellow employees in a supportive manner as an integral part of working in a team environment




- Responsible to maintain the cleanliness/tidiness in the immediate area of your work, both in the workshop and on site.

Requirements

- Fitter and Turner, Fitter Machinist with Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering or above
- Must hold a valid Australian Driver’s License
- Must hold a Construction (White) Card
- Ability to work shiftwork, weekends and Public Holidays as required
- Ability to work in remote locations
- Ability to climb ladders up to 50 meters
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities and work to deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Ability to pass pre‑employment medical

Desirable but not essential:

- Demonstrated Experience working with PSV’s.
- Demonstrated Experience working on Heat Exchangers
- Demonstrated Experience using Laser Alignment equipment.
- Demonstrated Experience in working on Rotating equipment.

Experience in the following industries is an advantage but not essential.

- Oil and Gas

- Defense
