Here is a sample of some of our customer feedback https://mymax.com.au/alumni-stories/

About the Role

We're looking for a natural business development manager who wants to build something - not step into a finished job.

You'll be connecting with business owners on the phone, at events, over coffee and through cold approaches you make yourself. Some of it is genuine hunting and networking, and following up properly on relationships.

These are seasoned owners running real businesses - often in construction, manufacturing, transport, trades and professional services. They're time-poor and they've heard every pitch. The sales can take weeks and you win it by being curious, useful and persistent rather than by pushing.

Day to day you'll:

- Make current connections through networking, events, forums and your own cold outreach

- Work our partners or the alumni network for warm introductions and referrals

- Nurture prospects patiently over months and bring them through to commitment

- Help build and nurture a network of partners

What the first 12 months looks like

- Months 1–3: Learn OMP properly. Meet the advisory team and a stack of alumni. Sit in on live conversations. Start making your own connections. Attend you first residential.

- Months 4–6: Run your own meetings with owners,

work on referrals. Commission starts flowing.

- Months 7-12: Own your pipeline end to end, represent MYMAX independently at events, and hit target. This is where the uncapped commission starts to matter.

Where it goes from there: as you build a track record, the role grows with more connections and referrals.

About You

- You can hold a conversation with a business owner. You're curious about how businesses work, you ask good questions, and you're comfortable talking to anyone.

- You'll make the call. You're happy to approach people cold, walk into a room where you know nobody, and follow up for the sixth time without being asked.

- You want to earn it. The base is solid, but the upside is uncapped and it's yours to go and get.

- You're organised, self-managing and tech savvy.

Prior B2B sales, business, or any experience dealing with business owners is a real advantage - but we care more about drive and how you come across than your CV.

This probably isn't for you if:

- You want short, transactional wins. Our sales cycle is usually measured in weeks.

- You want leads handed to you and a script to read.

What We Offer

- $90,000–$110,000 base + 12% super, plus uncapped commission OTE $120,000–$150,000+

- Hybrid working out of Fortitude Valley plus car allowance

- Stay at luxury resorts for program residentials (3-6 nights per year)

- Access to a network of genuinely successful business leaders - the kind of contacts that shape a career

- A role that makes a real difference to business owners' lives

- Flexibility, work from home or at the office

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
