Our firm is seeking the right candidate to work on a permanent part-time basis as a commercial/property lawyer. Ideally, the position requires immediate commencement, but a later commencement date will be considered.

Our firm is in a growth phase and is keen to find a candidate who can assist with the growth and promotion of the commercial and property area of the firm. Our firm is seeking to establish a long-term relationship with the right candidate.

The suitable candidate:

will work within a flexible working environment; and

can work from home (for the right and trusted candidate); and

will be required to work between 15 to 20 hours per week (as a minimum); and

will have the freedom to select their working days; and

will be paid on an hourly basis (together with superannuation, if applicable)



and will have the prospect to participate in, and become a beneficiary in, a generous commission arrangement.

Duties:

- exhibit proven experience in Commercial & Property Law (with not less than 3 years’ experience); and
- possess a current Queensland Law Society practicing certificate; and
- be able to work autonomously on matters involving commercial leasing; commercial conveyancing; share sale agreements; rent roll agreements; business transactions (sales and acquisitions); and
- be able to work autonomously on matters involving residential conveyancing; off the plan contracts; option agreements; and
- have a high standard of legal drafting; and
- have high standards of written and verbal communication; and
- pay attention to detail and time management; have
- be able to work within a team (including directly with the principal and paralegal); and
- exhibit qualities of honesty, integrity and professionalism.
