Career Links is funded by the Federal Government to deliver the Building Women’s Careers – EmpowerHer Pathways Program. With a purpose to deliver real and long-term outcomes, fostering women’s skill development and participation in high demand sectors including construction, clean energy, digital and technology and advanced manufacturing across the Hunter region in NSW.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Program Coordinator (part-time, 28 hours per week)to work with a small team delivering program requirements including:

- Increasing women participation and retention in further education and studies, leading to employment.
- Career guidance for women of all ages.
- Assist in the development of gender inclusive workplace practices.
- Support the EmpowerHER mentoring program.
- Strengthening of community and industry partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

As Program Coordinator your key responsibilities will be to:

- Develop and implement strategies to enhance program performance.
- Assist with operational delivery including industry tours, workshops, roadshows, and information sessions.
- Collaborate with program partners and stakeholders including TAFE NSW, First Nations Organisations, multicultural services and employers to enhance program responsiveness.
- Build relationships with industry leading to work experience and/or employment.
- Ensure high standards of compliance, administration and record-keeping.
- Drive outcomes aligned with organisational purpose and values.

About You

You are a motivated and successful professional with experience across career planning, case work with youth and adults. You are capable, organised, show attention to detail and can demonstrate examples of coaching to deliver improved performance.

You bring:





- Proven experience in the employment and education sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing outcomes for contract performance.
- Experience supporting women of all ages with complex barriers to employment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Education, Employment Services, Career Counselling, Social Sciences, Youth Work, Community Services or a related field.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Commitment to Career Links values and child safety practices

This position requires travel across the Hunter region and from time-to-time requires after hours work.
