Your Role

As a Restaurant Host, you'll be the first and last impression of our venues, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. You'll warmly welcome guests on arrival, manage seating, coordinate walk-in guests and waitlists, and work closely with our Restaurant Managers, reservation team and front-of-house team to ensure every service runs seamlessly.

You’ll play a key role in maximising seating capacity, maintaining the flow of service and creating a positive first impression that reflects the St Albans experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Welcome every guest with genuine warmth, professionalism and confidence.
- Greet and seat guests efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Manage walk-in guests and waitlists to maximise seating opportunities.
- Work closely with the reservation team and Restaurant Managers to coordinate guest arrivals and table allocations.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Assist guests with enquiries in a friendly,



professional and solution-focused manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Maintain the presentation of reception and entry areas.
- Uphold St Albans Hospitality Group's service standards and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

About You

You're someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with people and creating memorable first impressions. You present yourself with confidence, professionalism and warmth, and enjoy representing a premium hospitality brand.

- Previous experience in a host, reception, guest services or customer-facing hospitality role (restaurant experience highly regarded).
- A friendly, engaging and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- A polished, professional and well-groomed presentation.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to think on your feet and confidently make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to multitask while remaining calm under pressure.
- A passion for learning and continuously developing your skills.
- Experience using SevenRooms or a similar reservation system (desirable but not essential).
- A current Queensland RSA Certificate, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
- Full Australian working rights.
