A well-regarded business is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 12-month contract, covering maternity leave.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day cash management function, working closely with the project accountants. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with solid junior AR/AP and cash payments experience, and a mature, proactive approach.
- Managing all cash flows and processing payments
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and cash reporting
- Supporting the transition to SAP as the business migrates onto the new system
- Assisting with month‑end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Ad hoc analysis and process improvement support
About You
- Solid experience in a similar role, ideally within financial services
- Strong AR/AP and cash payments background
- Accounting experience essential, though CA/CPA qualification is not required
- SAP experience highly regarded
- A proactive, approach with the ability to hit the ground running with minimal oversight
