We are looking to source on behalf of a leading government rail organisation a Rail Technical Manager for a contract position that can be based in either Sydney or Canberra. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of technical services for a major rail infrastructure project which is currently in the planning and development phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Engineering Inputs
- Provide Technical Contract Support
- Offer technology and innovation support
- Manage Project Delivery
- Provide support for The Overall Team and Workstreams
Skills and Experience
- Experience in rail infrastructure projects, including major project (+$5 billion) development and delivery.
- Experience supporting contract administration, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with project milestones.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating engineering inputs across major rail projects,
including track, stations, rollingstock, and digital train control systems.
- Ability to review technical deliverables for compliance with standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
- Familiarity with systems engineering, safety assurance, and risk management in large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Have a relevant engineering degree; CEng status (ideal).
Contract Details
The contract will last until 30 June 2026 initially.
Compensation
The pay rate is the contract equivalent of $140,000-$150,000 plus super.
