Work Location: Waratah, Cnr Turton & Griffiths Roads
Pay Rate: Grade 1 || Pay Point 9 || $49.35 per hour + Super
In this role, you will bring your expertise in carpentry, formwork, and concreting to life within a variety of construction settings, including bridge maintenance and construction. Your dedication to safety and craftsmanship will be essential as you contribute to building structures that stand the test of time. The position operates Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4pm, with all necessary PPE provided to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in carpentry, formwork, and concreting
- Valid working at heights ticket
- Carpentry Certificate IV or equivalent
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
- Traffic control tickets
- Rigging and dogging tickets
- Scaffolding certification
- Experience in bridge maintenance or construction
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant vocational qualifications in carpentry or related fields
- Prior experience in construction projects, especially bridges or similar structures
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid police check and be able to provide two reference checks
- Long pants, high-vis shirt, steel cap boots, broad-brim hat, eye protection, and gloves are mandatory PPE
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a team workplace and adhering to safety standards.
