Shred-X Australia, part of the Freightways Ltd group, is a fast-paced, rapidly expanding leader in secure destruction and recycling solutions. We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Afternoon Shift Factory Sorter to join our Yatala branch to contribute to the smooth operation of our recycling facility.
What You’ll Do
- Sort material for destruction on conveyor belts and tables
- Operate shredding and baling equipment according to safety and quality standards
- Accurately record information for inbound and outbound loads
- Perform pre-start checks on machinery and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the facility and equipment
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving pallets, bins, and containers
- Ensure loads are secure and meet quality requirements
- Report any non-compliance or equipment issues to supervisors
What You Bring
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely and efficiently
- Positive, proactive attitude and team-player mindset
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
