Versatile Part-Time role: 30-35 hours per week.

Empower Autism is a well-established Autistic-led, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating positive social change with and for Autistic people. We are strong advocates of peer-led support, and we value the active participation of those with lived experience. Our programs are innovative, inclusive, Autism affirming and making a real difference!
What you will do
Office Administration
Oversee day-to-day office administration, including reception duties, correspondence, and general enquiries, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Manage procurement and organisation of office supplies.
Manage mail and PO Box correspondence.
Maintain and coordinate servicing of office equipment, including phones, laptops, key fobs, and printers.
Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues across the organisation, resolving basic problems directly and liaising with our offsite IT contractor when further support is needed.
Liaise with our building manager on office and facility issues, providing details of the problem and coordinating availability for tradespeople to attend.
Assist with maintenance of the Empower Autism website.
Coordinate staff meetings and office events, including catering, scheduling, invitations, and agenda preparation.
Manage organisational accounts, logins, and subscriptions.
Prepare and circulate all-staff communications.
Accounts
Support and develop skills in payroll and accounts processes, working closely with and assisting the Finance Manager as required.
Provide calendar management for the Managing Director and CEO, including scheduling, prioritisation, and resolution of any conflicting commitments across both.
Prepare meeting agendas for the Managing Director and CEO,
individually and jointly.
Coordinate internal and external meeting requests for the Managing Director and CEO.
Provide ad-hoc executive support to the Managing Director and CEO.
General
Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and efficiency.
Manage competing priorities effectively, meeting deadlines across multiple concurrent tasks.
Work autonomously and confidently, requiring minimal supervision.
What You will Bring
A solid track record in an administrative support role, demonstrating exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn new software systems.
Confidence in verbal and written communication, with a professional and friendly demeanour.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Initiative and a self-starter approach to finding solutions.
A collaborative, team-player mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.
Lived experience of Autism will be highly regarded.
A current (or ability to obtain) National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable People (Yellow Card) check, and Working with Children (Blue Card).
