Reliability & Maintenance Coordinator - Automated Warehouse (3PL, E-commerce)

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading 3PL provider supporting high-volume e-commerce operations, is seeking a Reliability & Maintenance Coordinator to support their state-of-the-art automated distribution centre. This role is critical in maximising equipment uptime, system availability, and operational reliability across a highly automated warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and system availability
- Proactively monitor and drive improvements in uptime, MTBF, and overall equipment performance
- Identify, investigate, and eliminate causes of unplanned downtime through structured problem-solving
- Schedule and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise operational disruption and downtime risk
- Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure rapid response and resolution of faults
- Maintain accurate records within CMMS / maintenance systems, ensuring data integrity for uptime tracking
- Analyse performance data to identify trends impacting reliability and uptime
- Support and enhance preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime optimisation and system resilience




- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures

About You

- Experience in a maintenance coordination, reliability, or planning role within logistics, manufacturing, or automated environments
- Proven ability to work in environments where uptime and operational continuity are critical
- Exposure to automated systems or material handling equipment (highly regarded)
- Robust organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Sound technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance and uptime data
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Desirable

- Experience in automated warehouses or distribution centres
- Trade, technical or engineering background (mechanical, electrical, or similar)
- Exposure to reliability methodologies (TPM, RCA, FMEA, Lean)
- Understanding of uptime metrics, downtime analysis, and performance KPIs
