APG Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Works Assistant (PQR) to join our Wagga Bridge Team based in Wagga Wagga.
Location: Wagga Wagga
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 24/12/2026
Pay Rate: $50.13 per hour + super
Hours: 8.5 hours per day (76 hours per fortnight)
Work Pattern: 9-day fortnight

About the Role:
In this role, you will work under limited supervision either independently or as part of a team, carrying out a wide range of advanced non-trade tasks. You will be responsible for completing work to quality standards while assisting in resolving routine issues using your experience and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of advanced labouring and operational tasks to required standards
- Assist in resolving routine worksite issues and escalate complex problems when required
- Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to team members
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and the public
- Apply and maintain solid knowledge of WHS policies, procedures, and legislation




- Ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards
- Undertake general labouring duties as required
- Work safely in and around live traffic environments

Requirements:

- White Card (Construction Industry Induction)
- Current WOF ticket or willingness to obtain
- Traffic Control (TC) ticket or willingness to obtain within required timeframe
- Valid C Class Driver's Licence or higher
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in close proximity to traffic
- Willingness to travel and work outside regular hours when required
- Sound computer skills
- Knowledge and understanding of bridge works (highly regarded)
