Role description An exciting prospect exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Dhelkaya Health's Community Services & Wellbeing Directorate as a Senior Occupational Therapist. Working within our Ambulatory Care Program, you will provide high-quality, person-centred assessment and management to clients accessing outpatient services while playing a key leadership role across several ambulatory care programs and clinics.
This specialist senior clinician position combines advanced clinical practice with program leadership responsibilities, supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care, optimise client outcomes and drive service improvement. You will collaborate closely with Program Managers, Professional Leads and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery and workforce development
Key Responsibilities Deliver advanced occupational therapy assessment,
intervention and care planning for clients with complex needsProvide leadership across ambulatory care programs, including referral triage, case review processes and program coordinationPromote person-centred, evidence-based practice within multidisciplinary teamsSupport quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities and risk management processesProvide supervision, mentoring and professional support to staff and studentsMonitor program performance and contribute to continuous service evaluation and developmentFoster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care pathways.
About youRegistered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA and a relevant tertiary qualification Extensive clinical experience, including managing complex rehabilitation and community-based caseloadsProven leadership skills with experience supporting, mentoring and supervising staff Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork Passion for delivering person-centred, evidence-based care and driving service improvementCommitted to continuous learning, professional development and quality improvement.
