Medical Receptionist - Permanent Part Time Canterbury

2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE - $35 to $40 Per Hour

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional healthcare team.

This role is ideal for someone who is hard-working, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team while delivering excellent patient care. You must be experienced and quick to learn. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Welcoming and assisting patients in a warm, qualified manner
- Managing incoming calls and handling patient enquiries
- Booking, confirming, and coordinating appointments
- Processing patient accounts and payments
- Preparing and managing correspondence, referrals, and medical documentation
- Providing administrative and clerical support to doctors and nurses
- Maintaining smooth clinic flow and ensuring rooms are prepared for consultations




- General administrative duties to support practice operations

About You

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist (essential)
- Knowledge of Gentu (not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Hard-working, reliable, and able to manage a busy front desk
- A positive team player with strong communication skills
- Confident using practice management software and computer systems

Hours

- Position 1. Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4.30pm
- Position 2. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Location

Street parking , close bus stop, and walking distance from railway station.
