Are you an experienced Community Support Assistant who is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of older people?

We are seeking a caring, reliable and experienced Community Support Assistant to join our Gordon Park Community Services team on a permanent part-time basis (approximately 60 hours per fortnight).

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting older people to remain living safely and independently in their own homes while promoting wellbeing, social connection and healthy ageing. You will also have the opportunity to support clients within our specialist Community based Respite Centre when required.

- Permanent Part-Time employment (approximately 60 hours per fortnight)
- Base rate of $39.53 per hour under the SCHADS Award, plus applicable penalty rates + 12% Superannuation

About the Role

As a Community Support Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians by supporting them to remain independent, safe and connected within their own homes and communities. This rewarding role combines practical support with genuine relationship building, helping clients maintain their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

When required, you will also provide support within our specialist Community based Respite Centre, delivering person-centred care and engaging clients in activities that promote social connection, cognitive stimulation and enjoyment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Supporting clients with meal preparation, light domestic assistance and community participation.
- Encouraging independence, choice, social connection and healthy ageing.
- Delivering engaging, meaningful activities for clients attending our Community Dementia Respite Centre, when required.
- Building positive, respectful and professional relationships with clients, families and colleagues.




- Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Delivering care in accordance with individual care plans, organisational policies and quality and safety standards.

About you

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, friendly, flexible and committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of one year's experience working in community aged care
- A sound understanding of healthy ageing, person-centred care and supporting people living with dementia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Queensland Open Driver Licence
- A reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
