A boutique, high-performing real estate private equity manager is seeking a Corporate Financial Accountant to join their Fund & Corporate Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad, hands-on exposure across corporate and fund accounting within a lean, fast-paced and growing funds management setting. Reporting to the Director, you'll play a central role in the accuracy and timeliness of management accounts, investor reporting, distributions, statutory compliance, and day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for corporate entities
- Support quarterly investor reporting and fund-level management accounts
- Calculate and process annual distribution payments and quarterly interest payments/covenant reporting for debt facilities
- Prepare and lodge BAS and FBT returns and payments
- Support preparation of unaudited financial statements and annual tax return lodgements
- Review and process monthly payroll,
including payroll tax and workers compensation payments
- Process fortnightly pay runs, manage employee expense claims and corporate card reconciliations
- Prepare fee invoicing and intercompany recharges
About You
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA/CPA(or working towards)
- 2-4 years' experience in financial or fund accounting, ideally within real estate, private equity or funds management
- Working knowledge of Australian tax and compliance obligations (BAS, FBT, payroll tax) and familiarity with AIFRS
- Proficient in Xero and/or MYOB, with strong Excel skills
- Clear communicator with sound judgement on when to elevate
