Central Coast Automotive is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team.

What you'll be doing

Process and reconcile invoices, expense reports, and financial transactions accurately and within agreed timeframes.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records and complete general ledger entries promptly.

Prepare general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Assist with floorplan reports and vehicle bailment management and reconciliation.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing, allocation, and reconciliation where required.

Liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve accounting queries, discrepancies, and outstanding matters.

Handle all financial information with strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Support the senior accounting team with ad hoc tasks, projects, and reporting requirements as directed.

Maintain organised financial records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance accounting knowledge and departmental capability.

What we're looking for





Completion of a relevant accounting qualification (such as Diploma of Accounting, Cert IV)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting tasks

Sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

A professional approach to handling sensitive financial information

Problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement

Previous experience in an accounting role or relevant internship would be advantageous
