We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsperson to join our commercial shopfitting team in a full-time, factory-based role.
We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in joinery and manufacturing who enjoys solving practical problems and producing accurate technical drawings. This role is ideal for someone with experience in commercial joinery, cabinetry or shopfitting who is looking to develop their career in a technical office-based role. If you have the right attitude, practical knowledge and willingness to learn, we'll provide training in our software and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed joinery drawings using Pytha 3D CAD software (training provided if required)
- Interpret architectural plans and client specifications
- Work closely with our production and design teams to produce accurate, practical and buildable drawings
- Produce cutting lists and CNC files using Alphacam (training provided)
- Assist with drawing revisions and project updates
- Ensure drawings meet manufacturing standards and project deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Experience in commercial joinery, cabinetry, shopfitting or a related manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
- A strong eye for detail and accuracy
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and understand how joinery is constructed
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new software
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- A willingness to learn and build a long-term career in the joinery industry
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial joinery, cabinetry, shopfitting or a related industry. Whether you've previously worked as a cabinet maker, machinist, installer or in another practical joinery role and are looking to transition into drafting, or you already have joinery drafting experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Experience with Pytha, Alphacam or other CAD/CAM software is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
