The Role

We have an exciting Permanent, full-time position available to join our Automotive delivery team at TAFE Queensland’s Acacia Ridge Campus.

As a TAFE Teacher in Automotive, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future automotive tradespeople by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.

This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.

- Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually)

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess AUR30620 - Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or equivalent, and the following:

- current industry skills directly relevant to training and assessment in the automotive sector;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs training and assessment in the automotive sector;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;

Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.
