1st , 2nd , 3rd 4th year Electrical apprentice

PRV Electrical Contracting Pty is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Electrical Apprentices at various stages of training (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) to join our growing team based in Leppington, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your electrical skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople in a professional contracting environment. As an electrical apprentice, you will work towards completing your formal apprenticeship whilst gaining hands‑on experience across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects. This role is fundamental to developing the next generation of skilled electricians and provides a clear pathway to becoming a qualified tradesperson.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems on various project sites
- Carrying out electrical work in compliance with relevant safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
- Learning and developing practical skills including wiring, circuit installation, cable routing, and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Preparing and organising work areas, tools, and materials for electrical tasks
- Undertaking measurements, calculations, and marking out work areas as directed
- Assisting with the installation of switchboards, distribution boards, lighting systems, and power outlets
- Supporting the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and installations
- Attending formal apprenticeship training and educational courses as required
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of work completed
- Adhering to all workplace health and safety requirements and protocols

What we’re looking for

- Currently enrolled in or committed to completing an electrical apprenticeship qualification (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year level)




- A strong interest in electrical work and the trades industry
- Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work methodically and accurately
- Physical fitness and the ability to work on varied sites, including heights and confined spaces
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and learn from experienced professionals
- A reliable, punctual, and qualified attitude with a commitment to continuous learning
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to different project sites
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and a commitment to maintaining protected working conditions
- Prior experience in the trades or construction industry is desirable but not essential
