Workplace Safety Coordinator (Part Time)

Adheseal is a leading wholesale distributor of adhesives and sealants, supplying trade professionals throughout South-East Queensland. With four branches located at Stafford, Slacks Creek, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, we're committed to providing exceptional service while maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant workplace.

As our Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and positive work environment across all four of our branches.

While Workplace Health & Safety will be your primary focus, you'll also work alongside our Operations Manager to help improve operational consistency and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

- WHS Policies & Procedures: Review and update existing policies and procedures. Develop, implement and maintain WHS policies, procedures and programs where required.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct regular workplace risk assessments to identify, evaluate and manage potential hazards across all Adheseal locations.
- Training & Education: Coordinate, review and update WHS training and induction programs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) and associated regulations.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintain emergency response plans and ensure employees are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Consultation & Communication:



Consult with employees and their representatives on WHS matters and communicate effectively with managers and staff across all branches.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date WHS documentation, including incident reports, risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), training records, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous chemical registers.
- Operations Support: Assist with operational reviews, identify process improvement opportunities, monitor compliance with company procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a part-time contract position, initially requiring approximately 3–4 days per week, with the opportunity for the right person to transition into a full-time position as the business continues to grow.

The successful applicant will be primarily based at our Stafford Head Office and will be required to travel between all four branches.

Qualifications and Experience

- Certificate IV in WPS or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Queensland WPS regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current driver's license
