The Role

Community Solutions are seekingElectrical Apprentices to join our host employer based at Manunda in Cairns.

This opportunity is ideal for apprentices who have had some work experience in the electrical trade and are keen to commence their 4-year apprenticeship. You will be working on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), gaining exposure to modern electrical infrastructure, technology driven systems, and networking components, with long-term career development opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Hold a Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Highly Regarded)
- A strong desire to pursue a career as a qualified Electrician
- Strong interest or capability in IT systems, communications, or networking
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Current White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- LVR/CPR certification ( current or willing to renew)




- Exemplar profiling up to date (If already commenced trade)
- Ability to work both day and night shifts (penalties apply)

Key Capabilities

- Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable working at heights and across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel to local depots and attend TAFE

Additional Requirements

- Ability to provide two professional references
- Pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
