The Warehouse Storeperson is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock and equipment. The role ensures inventory is managed efficiently and safely, orders are fulfilled on time, and the warehouse is maintained to a clean, organised and compliant standard supporting the company's operations.

Key responsibilities

Receiving & dispatch

- Receive incoming deliveries, check goods against purchase orders and delivery dockets, and report discrepancies or damage.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch accurately and on schedule.
- Load and unload vehicles safely, using appropriate equipment. Forklift Licence is needed for this role

Inventory & stock control

- Put away stock in correct locations and maintain accurate storage systems.
- Conduct stocktakes and cycle counts
- Update inventory records using the warehouse/ERP system.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages or reorder needs.

Warehouse operations & housekeeping

- Maintain a clean, tidy and hazard-free work area.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment safely (where licensed).
- Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks as directed.





Work health & safety

- Comply with all WHS policies, procedures and secure work practices.
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and manual handling techniques correctly.

Key selection criteria

- Previous experience in a warehouse, storeperson or logistics role or the Electrical sector
- Current forklift licence (LF)
- Sound numeracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory/scanning systems.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and in a team.
- Current driver's licence
- Experience with ERP/warehouse management systems.
- Understanding of stock control and inventory management principles.

Physical requirements

- Frequent lifting, bending, standing and walking for extended periods.
- Safe manual handling of loads in line with company procedures.

Key performance indicators

- Order picking and dispatch accuracy.
- Inventory accuracy and stocktake variance rates.
