A well-established, large-scale organisation is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their Group Tax team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity for ajunior tax professional to get hands-on exposure to indirect tax, payroll tax and reporting within a complex, high-volume corporate workplace.

You’ll be joining a team of tax specialists, reporting into the Group Tax Manager and working closely with three senior team members, covering different areas of tax, including income tax, GST and payroll tax & super. Your role is to support all three, but with a particular focus on GST and payroll tax reporting and super calculations, helping the team gather, organise and prepare the data.

This is a varied role. No two weeks will look the same, and there's plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced tax professionals who are keen to teach and share their knowledge on the job.

What You’ll Be Doing





- Supporting the team with data gathering and reporting across GST, payroll tax and superannuation calculations
- Assisting senior tax accountants with pulling together the information and data needed for their compliance and reporting work
- Contributing to broader ad hoc tax and finance projects as they arise

What is Required

- Experience with GST and a solid understanding of the Australian tax environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- SAP experience is a strong advantage, though not essential
- Someone comfortable with data-heavy, detail-oriented work
- A proactive, curious mindset
