About the role
The Support Worker – Laundry will support the delivery of a safe and clean laundry service for residents in alignment with appropriate standards.
Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is a friendly, close-knit community and home to residents of many cultures and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is protected and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
- Collects, sorts, washes, dries, sorts and distributes clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
- Ensures adequate stocks of clean linen,
towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.

About you
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S; and Infection Control
- Knowledge and experience in protected chemical handling (desirable)
- Commercial laundry experience (desirable)
- Experience in Aged Care (desirable)
