This role will be supporting our Auriga Aviation division, an industry leader in the delivery of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services throughout Australia. We operate a modern and well‑maintained fleet of Airbus helicopters, supporting the maritime industry with secure, efficient, and highly specialised aviation solutions. Our services support a diverse customer base and are delivered across multiple coastal and offshore locations nationwide.
The Opportunity
Auriga Aviation is seeking an experienced and highly organised Maintenance Planner to join our growing team in Brisbane. This is a critical role responsible for the planning and coordination of maintenance activities across our fleet, ensuring ongoing airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and maximum aircraft availability to support operational requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Airworthiness and Maintenance Control, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining maintenance plans for the Auriga Aviation fleet.
You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance Control, Operations, Supply and external maintenance providers to ensure all maintenance activities are effectively planned, resourced and executed in accordance with CASA regulations, approved maintenance programs and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Operations
- Develop and manage short, medium and long-term maintenance plans for the fleet.
- Prepare maintenance scopes of work for both internal and third-party maintenance activities.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to optimise aircraft availability and minimise downtime.
- Forecast upcoming maintenance requirements, component changes, life-limited parts and modification programs.
- Monitor material and component availability to support scheduled maintenance activities.
- Produce reports and forecasts to support operational planning and asset availability.
Airworthiness & Compliance
- Ensure maintenance planning activities comply with Civil Aviation regulations, approved maintenance programs and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate continuing airworthiness records and ensure all maintenance activities are appropriately recorded and controlled.
- Manage and maintain electronic maintenance planning and engineering databases.
- Monitor compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, component limitations and scheduled maintenance requirements.
- Assist with the review and continuous improvement of company documentation and procedures.
Safety & Quality
- Actively support Auriga's Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Contribute to hazard identification, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture across maintenance planning activities.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in aviation maintenance planning and/or continuing airworthiness management.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs and maintenance planning principles.
- Experience developing maintenance schedules, work packages and maintenance forecasts.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and continuing airworthiness obligations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and manage operational and compliance risks.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High-level computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems and databases.
- Experience using Aerotrack or similar aviation maintenance planning software.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant experience in aviation maintenance planning, continuing airworthiness or aircraft maintenance operations.
- Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
- Formal training in continuing airworthiness management, maintenance planning, production planning or aviation regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of CASR Part 42, Part 145 and CAR 30 requirements.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
