NDIS Support Coordinator & Psychosocial Recovery Coach

Capacity Building Co is looking for a kick a** NDIS Support Coordinator to join our small but growing team This is a PPT position with the option to grow to FT. This is a WFH & Hybrid Role based in Western Sydney - Penrith & surrounding.

Who Are We Looking For?

You are an experienced professional with a minimum of 1 year of experience as an NDIS Support Coordinator.

Understanding of complex mental health, trauma and is non judgmental.

Understanding of AOD use.

You have proven working or lived experience with participants/families with forensic/complex mental health and within the justice systems as a coordinator or similar role.

Experience or understanding of participants living with schizophrenia.

You have relevant qualifications - Diploma, cert IV, degree in Mental Health, Community Services, Justice etc / Lived experience is a genuine qualification.

You're passionate and have a genuine care for individuals living with complex mental health and other disabilities.

You live in the western sydney area and happy to travel, using personal vehicle.

Comfortable working with participants with forensic history risk assessment always conducted

You value flexibility and are eager to take control of your workload and work-life balance.

You are wanting to make the most of your skills and experience as a support coordinator before further changes to the scheme take place.

This position has the same duties as a regular support coordinator however you may be working in Forensic, Justice and Complex Mental Health.

Specific roles & responsibilities





You may be required to visit participants who are inmates incarcerated at local correctional facilities or across NSW.

You may be assisting in planning and transiting participants out from correctional facilities/hospitals into SIL's or back into the community.

You will be liaising with the NDIS justice liaison officer, correctional officers, stakeholders, legal aid, the NSW Public Guardian and NSW justice health, in a multidisciplinary team.

Able to provide solid advocacy.

you may be required to support the participant at court and set up legal aid arrangements, or arranging supports.

Referrals to other NDIS services such as allied health and core providers.

Arrange OT, BS, Psych assessments for participants in custody and in community.
