Evo Metals Trade Pty Ltd Position title Procurement Manager ANZSCO code 133612 — Procurement Manager Business Evo Metals Trade Pty Ltd Location Smithfield, New South Wales Employment type Full-time, ongoing (permanent employee) Reports to Business Development Manager / General Manager Direct reports 4 — Procurement Officers / Buyers Annual salary $90000 - $100000 Position purpose The Procurement Manager plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the procurement and purchasing of spent automotive catalytic converters and recyclable metals for Evo Metals Trade Pty Ltd. The role owns the company’s sourcing strategy, supplier network and purchasing budget, leads the procurement team, and is accountable for securing a consistent, high-quality and cost-effective flow of material to support the company’s consolidation and export operations.

Key responsibilities Procurement strategy and planning Determine, implement and monitor the company’s purchasing strategy, policies and plans for the acquisition of spent automotive catalytic converters and other recyclable metals across assigned New South Wales territories, including setting sourcing targets, pricing policy and the supplier engagement framework. Supply planning and cost control Prepare and implement acquisition plans that maintain the material volumes required for economic export consolidation at minimum cost, and manage the procurement budget to deliver the company’s target buying margins.

Supplier negotiation and agreements Negotiate purchasing arrangements, pricing structures and ongoing supply agreements with car yards, auto dismantlers, mechanical workshops and scrap metal dealers to meet the company’s quality, cost and volume requirements.

Material valuation and quality control Direct the technical assessment and grading of incoming material — including the use of X-ray fluorescence (XRF)



analysis to determine precious metal content — and set the valuation standards that inform purchasing decisions and supplier pricing.

Inventory and recording systems Monitor and review storage, grading classification and inventory systems to meet supply and shipment requirements, and operate recording systems that track all movements of acquired material and ensure consolidation and dispatch occur at optimal times.

Logistics and outward coordination Liaise with warehouse, logistics and the parent company concerning consolidated outward shipments and associated forwarding transportation, ensuring uninterrupted flow from collection through to export.

Transaction oversight Oversee the recording of all purchase, storage and distribution transactions, including supplier payments and material movement, and ensure procurement documentation is accurate and complete.

Team leadership Lead, direct and supervise the procurement team (5 Procurement Officers / Buyers), allocate territories and targets, monitor individual and team performance against KPIs, and coach and develop team members as procurement specialists and negotiators.

Skills and experience required

- A bachelor degree or higher qualification; or at least five years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or commercial management may substitute for the formal qualification.
- Demonstrated experience directing a purchasing or procurement function, including managing staff, supplier relationships and a purchasing budget.
- Solid negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable pricing and supply terms in a dynamic, spot-priced market.
- Technical capability to assess the composition, condition and value of automotive and industrial components, including familiarity with XRF analysis and precious‑metal grading.
- Knowledge of the recycling and scrap metals sector and the regulatory and compliance environment in which it operates.
- Sound analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑management skills.
