The Learning Cottage, a leading provider of early childhood education services in Wollongbar is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educators-Trainees to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about nurturing the development and well-being of young children. This is a two-year commitment, and at the end, you will have your qualification as an educator.
What you'll be doing
- Providing high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years
- Implementing engaging and age-appropriate learning activities that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
- Observing and documenting children's progress to inform individualized learning plans
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing setting that adheres to all relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborating with parents and caregivers to support children's holistic development
- Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
- A passion for early childhood education and a genuine commitment to supporting the growth, wellbeing, safety and rights of all children
- A strong commitment to child safety and creating environments where children feel safe, respected,
heard and protected at all times
- A willingness to undertake a relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with children, families and team members
- Enthusiasm for creating a stimulating, inclusive and child-safe learning environment
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the Child Safe Standards, mandatory reporting obligations and professional boundaries in early childhood education
