Technical Officer

At AUZOO Pet Protein, we're passionate about producing premium Australian pet treats that pets love and customer's trust. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic Technical Officer to join our Technical Team and help shape the future of our products.

You'll spend time on the factory floor ensuring products meet our high standards, while also working behind the scenes on new product development, product specifications and continuous improvement projects.

What you'll be doing

Every day is a little different, but your role will include:

- Maintaining food safety and quality standards across our manufacturing site
- Completing product, label and process verification checks
- Conducting GMP inspections, environmental monitoring and calibration activities
- Investigating quality issues and helping implement improvements
- Supporting HACCP, SQF and customer compliance programs (Woolworths, Coles)
- Assisting with internal audits and supplier approvals
- Help commercialize exciting new products
- Developing and maintaining product, raw material and packaging specifications
- Supporting product trials, validation studies and laboratory testing
- Working closely with Production to continuously improve our processes

We’re looking for someone who has





- Experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance or food technology
- A qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline (preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems
- Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Bonus points if you have experience with:

- Meat or pet food manufacturing
- SQF or other GFSI food safety standards
- Customer standards (Woolworths, Coles)
- Internal auditing
- Product specifications
