Moreton ATSICHS operates a growing network of healthcare clinics for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our model of care provides holistic health and wellbeing services to support our Community across their lifespan. We bring together primary care, allied health, dental, mental health and wellbeing, maternity and early childhood, disability services, specialist services, and aged care as one team focussed on clients’ individual needs and goals.

About the role

As Welcome Officer, your role is the first point of contact for community members and visitors. The role is dedicated to creating a culturally safe and supportive welcoming environment, ensuring all individuals feel respected, valued and support as they seek our services.

The role will guide community members through MATSICHS services, offering tailored support to help clients navigate the services available. Through providing cultural appropriate approach, this role is essential in strengthening connections and empowering community.

Your day to day duties may include:

- Respond to onsite client enquiries, feedback or concerns Screen for infectious or acute conditions (e.g. Covid, flu,



heart condition), provide sanitizer/PPE, instructions or elevate for treatment as needed.
- Assist clients to register for My Medicare (and associated Government apps).
- Prompt clients to complete onsite feedback forms.
- Provide new Pod clients with Pod-specific information packs.

About you

- Current Criminal History Check.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
- Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card).
- Current CPR Certificate.
