Senior BI Developer

Key accountabilities:

- Design and develop robust, scalable BI frameworks and BI governance models based on best practice standards and guidelines
- Develop intuitive customer-centric Power BI dashboards and reports
- Develop automated analysis, insights and summaries for non-technical users
- Experience using LLMs to interact with and summarise data, analytics, and insights
- Source and integrate data from multiple systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, cloud platforms, APIs)
- Collaborate with data governance, engineering and data science teams to ensure robust, reliable and scalable data pipelines for BI applications
- Implement enterprise data authorisation models into all BI products and tooling, including adherence to role-based access control requirements, and adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and ethical-use requirements, guidelines, and standards.
- Help to manage BI environments and deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Apply version control (Git) and CI/CD practices to all BI products
- Maintain documentation for all BI products and tools, including documenting business rules, business glossaries, sematic layers, data models, data flows,



and all requirements, classifications, categories and code used to develop BI reports and BI solutions
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into BI solutions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability uplift
- Drive continuous improvement in BI practices and tooling

Selection criteria:

- Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer (Power BI and LLM-focused)
- Strong experience in using Power BI, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), data modelling, SQL, and LLMs. (essential)
- Strong experience in applying optimisation techniques to improve Power BI reports performance.
- Experience in configuring Power BI Reporting environments (on-premises and cloud-based).
- Solid experience in data analysis, ETL, data cleansing, and data migration for large complex datasets, including for unstructured data, and relational databases
- Extensive experience in version control (github, BitBucket, etc)
- Experience using task, knowledge, and document management tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Extensive experience with: Python, SQL, on-premises and/or cloud-based BI tools
