Job Description

The Groups Meetings & Events Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activity in order to maximise rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through pro-active selling and conversion of customer enquiries into confirmed sales.

Responsibilities

What will I be doing?

- Manage the relationship and business processes between C&E; Sales & C&E; Operations
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting new leads through to event coordination and ultimately securing repeat business
- Identify trends, and create innovative tactical offers to drive both leads and conversion
- Develop and maintain robust client relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Manage departmental productivity
- Regularly review and manage individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback
- Provide relevant coaching and development to the team




- Actively be involved through face-to-face client interactions including professional site visits, hosted events, proactive telesales calls and attendance at networking events

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- experience in producing, analysing and make recommendations from detailed Commercial Reports including but not limited to: Weekly Forecasts, Annual budgets, Demand & Conversion Analysis
- Experience of managing and motivating a team
- Able to collect and analyse relevant information and provide solutions.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time
