We're looking for a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Trade Counter / Entry Level Sales Representative.

No industry experience? No problem!

About the Role

As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting our Internal Sales and Warehouse teams.

Every day is different, and you'll gain valuable experience while learning about the steel industry from experienced professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Serving customers at our busy trade counter
- Answering customer enquiries by phone and email
- Preparing quotations and processing sales orders
- Assisting customers in selecting the right products
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Coordinating customer pickups with our warehouse team
- Following up customer quotations and enquiries
- Operating EFTPOS and cash transactions
- Balancing the cash register
- Maintaining customer records and completing sales administration




- Assisting with stock enquiries and warehouse communication
- Learning about steel products, fabrication services and estimating
- Maintaining a clean, professional trade counter and showroom
- Supporting other departments where required
- Following company procedures and workplace health and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

Experience isn't essential. We can teach you about steel, our products and our systems. What we can't teach is a positive attitude, reliability and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.

The ideal person will be:

- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers
- Reliable, honest and punctual
- Motivated with a willingness to learn
- A positive team player
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
- Passionate about providing outstanding customer service

Experience that would be an advantage (but not essential)

- Retail sales
- Trade supplies
- Warehouse or logistics
- Building or construction products
- Steel or manufacturing
