The Role

Drive the reliability, integrity, and performance of electrical assets across plant operations, ensuring full compliance with electrical safety standards and delivering sustainable improvements in uptime and risk reduction.

Deliver electrical equipment reliability and integrity across all NAO plant areas

Ensure compliance with Company HSE standards, applicable Acts & Regulations and Australian Standards

Support electrical safety management systems, standards and procedures and provide technical support to electrical workers

Undertake reliability improvement projects, investigations and root cause failure analysis

Ensure world class maintenance strategies are in place based upon equipment risk and criticality

Monitor compliance to relevant statutory regulations and internal engineering standards

What you’ll bring

A pragmatic and safety-focused electrical engineering professional with strong experience in heavy industry, capable of optimising asset reliability, managing risk, and delivering data-driven improvements in complex plant environments.

You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture

Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience

RPEQ, CPEng or NPER (Desirable)

Experience in maintenance and/or engineering within a chemical manufacturing plant or similar heavy industry environment

Familiarity with Electrical Safety Legislation, Australian Standards and Safety Management Systems

Demonstrated ability in optimising reliability,



risk identification and root cause failure analysis

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland.



The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
