The Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association (LECNA) in Springwood is hiring a part-time NILS Microfinance Administrator, offering 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) under the SCHADS Award. The role involves managing No Interest Loans, assessing client budgets, and supporting vulnerable locals.

Position Title: NILS (No Interest Loans) Microfinance Administrator

Location: Springwood, QLD 4127 (Cnr Cinderella Dr and Vanessa Blvd)

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (contract)

Classification: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award

Role and Duties

- Determine eligibility, conduct loan interviews, ascertain financial needs andexplore microfinance;
- Respond to phone and walk in enquiries
- Provide assisted referrals to financial counsellors and/or institutions as required;
- Undertake the data entry and overall administration tasks associated with the maintenance of the position, programs and services;
- Work with programs and databases associated with the program;
- Provide support to Loans Provider;
- In consultation with the Managers, further develop loans programs;
- Actively participate, and contribute to the delivery of quality client services in line with the vision, values and culture of Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association
- Bank and Visa card reconciliations
- Internal monthly audits

Professional accountabilities

Participate in regular team meetings, performance planning reviews, and individual supervision of work plans and practices.
3. 3. Participate in Loan team meetings to advance the performance of the LECNA loans program.
4. 4. Pursue new skills and knowledge for personal and organisation development.
5. 5. Contribute to the development of the Agency through participation in Agency wide planning and review process, staff meetings and other activities as required.
6. 6. Contribute to the LECNA ethos which may include participation in events, supporting organisation administration tasks, engaging with the local community.
7. 7. Communicate appropriately in a range of contexts.

EMPLOYMENT

The Microfinance Administrator is employed by LECNA and reports to the Manager. Current Blue Card, Police check required for this role.

Selection Criteria

1. 1. Relevant qualifications or experience in administration, finance, business, banking and/or the community services sector.
2. 2. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
3. 3. High level computer literacy including experience with databases and reporting software, with experience in the use of MyNILS app highly regarded.
4. 5. Demonstrated commitment to the principles of social justice.
5. 6. An understanding of, or ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of groups of people in society who may be more likely to experience poverty and financial exclusion.
