Rose Litigation Lawyers is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our firm. This is a full-time position based in our Gold Coast or Brisbane offices. As Finance Manager, you will take a leading role in managing the financial operations of our firm, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and strategic financial planning. This position is crucial to supporting the firm's growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the legal services sector.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the operational finance functions of the firm in accordance with accounting standards and firm requirements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment authorisation, and debtor management.
- Develop, monitor and manage the firm's budgets and financial forecasts
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making
- Oversee bank reconciliations and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity
- Manage trust account compliance, audit preparations and regulatory requirements (Trust Account experience essential)
- Supervise and support other support staff undertaking finance related tasks
- Liaise with external accountants to facilitate audits and financial reviews
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures

What we're looking for

- Senior bookkeeper or qualified accountant with relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting roles,



preferably within a legal environment
- Strong proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Leadership experience with the ability to supervise and develop team members
- Proactive problem-solving approach with strong analytical capabilities
