About the role

The security team in this locationplayan significant rolein ensuring thatourclient’sdata integrity is alwaysmaintained.Your role as theSecurityLeadis to ensure the guarding team,as well as yourself,act asthe first point of contactforvisitorsand contractors enteringtheselocationswhereyou will setthe tone;deliveringaprofessionaland welcoming experience whilstupholdingstrictsecurity protocols.

Job Location:North Sydney.

Shift Pattern:Ability toworkrotating dayandnightsshifts of12hours

Key responsibilities:

- Leading on‑shift operations, providing direction, briefings, and oversight to ensure consistent standards, professionalism, and team performance
- Acting as the site escalation point, managing incidents, compliance issues, and liaising with the client and internal leadership asrequired.
- Ensuring operational continuity, overseeing staffing coverage, shift handovers,and the quality of reporting and documentation.




- Proactively managing team welfareand performance consistency across the shift.
- Provision of training,educationand upskilling team to exceed performance
- Provision of exemplarycustomerservice, with some administrative tasks.
- Ensuringadherence toall site security procedures,policiesand access control requirementsto meet audit requirements
- Identifyingand preventing prohibited items from being introduced to or removed from secure areas
- Raising,updatingand managing access requests using client security systems and software
- Responding to, escalating and documenting incidents with clear,accuratewritten reports and daily activity logs
- Maintaining a strong safety-first mindset and leading by example in compliance and professionalism

About You

- Mandatory Australiancitizenship,due to government clearance requirements
- Current NV-2 Clearance
- Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(UnarmedLeading)& 1E(Monitoring Centre Operator)
- Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity)with current CPRCertificate(1 year validity)
- Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
- Desirable previoussupervisory,leadershipor mentoringexperienceof a high performing team
- Lead by example – support a safety and compliance culture




- Conflict resolution and negation skillsrequired
- Report writing and Site patrol duties
- Excellent observational skills
