About mrniland

mrniland is the cookware brand of chef Josh Niland, built on the same thinking that shaped Saint Peter and Fish Butchery. Our products, including the Fish Weight and the cast iron Fish Pan, are designed in Sydney and sold to home cooks and qualified kitchens in Australia, the United States and beyond.

The brand is growing, and we are hiring our first dedicated full time role to run it day to day.

The role

You will work directly with Julie Niland, co-owner and director, as her second in command across the mrniland business. Work is located in our Crows Nest Office. This is a hands‑on role covering three areas:

Operations

- Manage inventory, stock levels and reordering across AU and US warehouses
- Oversee order fulfilment, shipping and freight, and resolve delivery issues
- Move stock between locations as needed using your own car
- Engrave pans and weights to order and post
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners
- Keep the Shopify store accurate and running smoothly
- Own the customer inbox across both markets and respond within agreed timeframes
- Handle order queries, returns, exchanges and warranty matters
- Turn recurring questions into better FAQs,

Marketing support

- Schedule content and EDMs that have been planned and written
- Assist with product launches, promotions and campaign coordination
- Help with reporting on what is working

If this is an area of interest for you we can structure more work towards this once logistics and customer service is mastered.

About you

Experience in e-commerce or retail operations is valued, but we will train the right person. What matters more:

- Able to work independently and manage your own day without close supervision
- Organised, self‑directed and good at closing loops without being chased
- A clear, careful writer who can hold a brand voice
- Quick to learn new systems. We use Shopify, Klaviyo and Meta, and familiarity helps but is not required
- A current driver’s licence and your own reliable car
- Comfortable with hands‑on work, including engraving products to order (training provided)
- Genuine interest in food and cooking is a strong advantage

Details

Full time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Based at our Crows Nest office, Sydney

Salary negotiable based on experience. Part time hours can be discussed if preffered.
