If you are an experienced residential Estimator who enjoys getting into the technical detail, improving systems and making sure every estimate is right, this could be the role for you. We are looking for a Team Leader, who can balance the technical requirements of the role but also be supportive of the team both in the office and offshore.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established residential builder based in Hamilton, with a strong reputation and a secure pipeline of work. The business delivers approximately 400 individual homes and terrace products each year. This role is in the production side of estimating using Databuild and Framework.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining production workflows, supporting the offshore estimating team responsible for investment homes, and ensuring all pricing and estimating information remains accurate and up to date.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate production estimates for residential homes.

Reviewing and verifying estimates completed by the offshore estimating team.

Maintaining and updating DataBuild, Framework, estimating databases and pricing information.

Managing variation pricing through VPB and ensuring estimating data remains current.





Providing technical support and guidance to local and offshore estimators.

Working closely with the Estimating Manager to maintain workflow and meet production deadlines.

Identifying opportunities to improve estimating systems, processes and efficiencies.

Liaising with drafting, construction and other internal stakeholders to resolve estimating queries.

Ensuring all estimates are completed in accordance with company standards and timeframes.

The successful candidate will have production estimating experience with an Australian project home builder, along with strong technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of residential construction and estimating processes.

The role offers a salary of $130,000 - $140,000K plus superannuation. Once established, there is some flexibility for hybrid working. The business operates from a up-to-date Hamilton office with approximately 50 staff, with parking available close by.
