About the Role

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a key support role within the HR team, assisting with the day-to-day operations of human resources and administration functions across our facilities.
You will work closely with the HR Officer, Roster Clerk, and care management teams to ensure accurate documentation, smooth onboarding processes, and effective staff coordination.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Human Resources within the aged care sector.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented skilled who has:

Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or working towards one).

Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

A willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and uphold confidentiality.

Experience in aged care or a similar administrative environment (desirable).





Familiarity with payroll or rostering systems such as Inerva (advantageous).

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Experience with HRIS systems is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with HR administration, employee records, and staff documentation.

Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including scheduling interviews, preparing employment packs, and updating staff details.

Maintain staff files, police checks, and training records.

Assist with roster updates, leave forms, and communication with staff.

Provide general administrative support to the HR Officer and care management team.

Help prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute information as needed.

Contribute to a positive, supportive, and values-driven workplace culture.
