Role Description The Lead Architect is a full-time, in office role based in Sydney, NSW, responsible for guiding the design and delivery of architectural projects from concept through completion. This position leads multidisciplinary teams, develops project concepts, prepares detailed architectural drawings and documentation, and ensures design quality and compliance with local regulations and building codes. The Lead Architect coordinates with clients, consultants, and contractors, manages project schedules and resources, and oversees integration of technical solutions into architectural designs. Daily activities include reviewing design work, mentoring team members, refining project plans, and participating in client presentations and design reviews.



The role requires balancing creative vision with practical constraints to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high professional standard.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience leading complex projects from concept to delivery.

Proficiency in using Revit and familiarity with BIM methodologies.

Advanced skills in other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp)

Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Thorough knowledge of local building codes, planning regulations, and sustainability standards in NSW and Australia.

Proven ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and design excellence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, presentations, and documentation.

Professional degree in Architecture and eligibility or registration with the relevant architectural accreditation body (or equivalent experience).

Experience in coordinating with engineers, consultants, and contractors on-site and in design meetings.

Ability to work on-site in Sydney, NSW, and manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
