Brisbane

At Return-It, recycling is in our DNA. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Re.Group, we are leaders in managing and facilitating operations that focus on recycling for the Container Deposit Schemes (CDS) in Australia. Convenient locations plus new technology enables a seamless recycling experience both at fully staffed depots and Express collection points.

At the heart of Re.Group is our focus on positive community impact. We collaborate with charities, private organisations and government to benefit local communities.

We are seeking an experienced WHS Advisor to support a portfolio of Return-It depots across two states.

Working closely with operational leaders and site teams, you will provide practical safety advice, strengthen compliance and help build a consistent, proactive safety culture across the portfolio. This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel between sites and the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, managers and key stakeholders.

- Deliver safety coaching, toolbox talks and training to employees and leaders.
- Review safety performance, identify trends and prepare reports for operational and senior management.
- Support contractor management and ensure required safety documentation is maintained.
- Work collaboratively with the broader Health, Safety and Environment team to drive continuous improvement and consistent safety standards.
- Promote a positive safety culture where employees feel empowered to identify hazards,

raise concerns and contribute to safer ways of working.

About you

- Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS advisory role supporting multiple operational sites.
- Experience within recycling, waste management, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or another high-risk operational environment will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of applicable WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Practical and commercially balanced approach to safety management.
- Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence employees and leaders at all levels.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
- Confidence working independently while remaining connected to a broader national team.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly between depots across both states.
