About the role

We are seeking an experienced Club Duty Manager to join our team on a full time basis at our St Marys location. This is a pivotal position responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the club during your assigned shifts. As Duty Manager, you will be the senior on-site representative, ensuring that all areas of the club operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with club policies and relevant legislation. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of service and creating a positive experience for both members and staff.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all club operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments
- Manage and supervise staff members, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and providing coaching and support
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the club premises
- Handle member and guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner, working to resolve issues to their satisfaction
- Manage till operations and cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security of all financial transactions
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment,



and gaming machines to ensure they are in good working order
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure quality food and beverage service standards are maintained
- Maintain detailed records and incident reports, documenting any issues or occurrences during your shift
- Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate protocols to ensure member and staff safety
- Promote club events and activities to members, contributing to increased engagement and attendance

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a hospitality management role, preferably within a club, pub, or similar leisure venue
- Strong knowledge of responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and liquor licensing requirements in New South Wales
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically and professionally
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and workplace compliance
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic financial management
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A valid RSA certification or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with gaming machine compliance and member protection practices is highly desirable
- Current First Aid or CPR certification is preferred
