About the Position

Smith & Co is currently recruiting experienced Civil Labourers to join a number of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 civil contractors across Brisbane. With multiple projects commencing and robust pipelines of work already secured, we're looking for reliable workers ready to start immediately.

You'll be working across a variety of civil construction projects including subdivisions, road infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and land development. Whether you have experience in pit and pipe, spotting machinery, drainage, or general civil labouring, we have opportunities to match your skills.

Key Responsibilities





- Carry out general civil labouring duties across active construction sites
- Assist with site establishment, clean-up, and material handling
- Spot machinery and support operators during excavation works
- Assist with trenching, drainage, pipe laying, and backfilling
- Work alongside civil crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience working as a Civil Labourer within the civil construction industry
- Experience on subdivision, roadworks, or infrastructure projects highly regarded
- Pit and pipe experience advantageous but not essential
- Current White Card required
- RII tickets highly regarded but not essential
- Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on outdoor environment
- Reliable, punctual, and available for immediate commencement
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
